The Lazy Wench drove too cautiously for most of her time on the track, but at the end of day three, she got more aggressive. Day four saw her being cautious again, the formula cars were different enough that she didn't feel comfortable. She didn't want to spin out at high speed. She eventually did, and realized that was a way to learn something quickly. If you push beyond the limit, you find the limit has moved. After spinning out in turn 8, she learned a lot about how to better carry more speed into that turn. She actually got faster. The track the class was on was a learning track, with different sections that could be added or removed as students progressed.
Other students were spinning more and learning more as well. Dave had a mechanical failure that saw him doing a 720 going into the dirt at the straightaway. Unhurt, he climbed into a different car while his was fixed and soon, he was back into his original car. It was the right size for him and he wanted to keep driving it.
Another student spun and wasn't quite so lucky. He went backwards into a tire wall and broke the wing on the back of his car. He wasn't hurt, he hopped into a different car and since he'd bought the wing, he loaded it into his car and took it home to hang on the wall in his garage. What a souvenir!
