Finally! The Lazy Wench got someone to take a picture of herself seated on Ghwyenn. Here it is.
In July of 2003, The Lazy Wench went through a re-evaluation of where she was and what her dreams were. It was brought on by the loss of her father, who had been quite ill for several years. This hard working man had put three kids through college, yadda, yadda, but he had rewarded himself with a car. The Lazy Wench had inherited the car and was enjoying driving it, but it was not her dream. Her dream was to own a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
She ordered one and took delivery in September. It was not her first motorcyle, but it is her first Harley. It's a 2003 Dyna Low Rider named 'Ghwyiennieafhyeirre.' If you can't quite figure out how to pronounce that name, you are not alone. It is 'Gwen-a-fairy' and the Hog has been named after people who can't quite tell fantasy from reality, but enjoy pretending that they can. This is an in-joke that gives The Lazy Wench no end of personal satisfaction. This is partly because there is no chance that a person on a motorcycle is not completely in touch with reality. If they aren't paying attention, then they are asking for an accident to happen.
The Lazy Wench's favorite riding jacket was a gift from a friend, who has since died of a brain tumor. The Lazy Wench added cuffs that make the sleeves about 4" longer, to fit her arms perfectly. Her friend added lacing to the collar. Her chaps were purchased with a gift from The Senior Wench. The Lazy Wench worked on the vest with her colors, taking out the plain side panels and replacing them with laces. Her gear is emotionally loaded. It is also well broken in, very comfortable and effective protection.
Harley-Davidson has made it possible for a devoted biker chick to decorate her entire home in H-D gear. There are not just T-shirts, there are blankets, coffee mugs, clocks, furniture and dog collars with the H-D logo on them. The Lazy Wench doesn't own a dog, but she does have a set of Harley-Davidson cookie cutters. There is a Harley Owner's Group that she's a member of.
