Friday, August 16, A.S. XXXVII, Jaine the Embroiderer was given an Award of Arms by Her Majesty Queen Isobel at the combined courts of Atlantia, the Barony of Stierbach and the Barony of Ponte Alto. The scroll is a temporary one, but she thinks it's very neat anyway. It was illuminated by Failenn Mac Fergus and the calligraphy was done by Renata von Hentzan. An AoA is given at the discretion of Their Majesties and elevates Jaine to the nobility.
Jaine now may display her coat of arms which will be per chevron argent and azure, two Moor's cubit arms in chevron issuant from the flanks proper and a phoenix argent and on a chief azure three annulets argent. To celebrate this, Jaine toddled out and purchaced a circlet to wear and a mug with a phoenix on it. She still has to make a banner with her arms on it so she can display them. The fabric is on order.
Jaine also made an heraldic surcoat to wear at a spring crown tournament. The surcoat is in Jaine's colors of argent and azure (silver and blue) with a phoenix appliqued on the skirt in the front and the back. Her chair is now painted with a phoenix and she's contemplating making banners to decorate her pavillion and a hanging to decorate her campsite at events.
